Candy Valentino

Candy Valentino, founder and owner of Platinum Salon & Spa, began this journey in 1999.  With a background in Business Management in addition to the salon and spa industry, Candy’s vision was to create a place clients could receive exceptional salon & spa services in a relaxing and soothing atmosphere, centered around a high caliber staff filled with talent, skill and expertise focused to treat each client by the golden rule.  When the spa originally began, Candy’s role was focused on being a stylist, colorist and nail care specialist.  Holding Certification as a Top Colorist with Framesi and an Elite Colorist with Loreal Professional, she was also a Certified Educator with OPI.  As the spa continued to grow, change and evolve, her role in it did as well.  She now sits as Spa Director managing present and future growth and direction of the company.  When asked what she loves best about her current role in PSS, she stated, “I have been blessed in so many ways since we opened in 2000. I have met so many truly wonderful people that are clients and friends of the Platinum Salon & Spa family.  I love the opportunity of seeing my team blossom and grow.  To watch each of them evolve in all aspects of their life, and to have some small part in that, is very rewarding.”  Candy resides in Greensburg with her husband and their five rescued Chihuahuas. Candy is also the founder and president of The Animal Friends of Westmoreland and Youngwood Area Business Association in addition to being a real estate agent for #1 Choice Real Estate and co-owner of Youngwood Storage.

Stephenie Jurisch
Stylist

Stephenie has been with the spa since 2001 and in the salon industry since 1995.  Specializing in custom-designed haircuts and artistic coloring, she brings her love for art into her styling. Her continued education includes trainings in Bermuda and Philadelphia to name a few, and holds an Elite Colorist Certification with Loreal Professional.  She loves making her clients look and feel better about themselves and enjoys being a part of that.  She resides in Greensburg with her cat, Jynx, and says the thing she loves most about PSS is “that we are like one big happy family, everyone gets along so well and you don’t see that in most places”.

Jacquelynne Sakal
Stylist

Jackie has been with the spa since 2004 and in the salon industry since 1994.  Specializing in hair extensions, coloring & highlighting, Jackie loves to give special attention to each of her clients by listening and solving all their beauty needs.  A Certified Elite Colorist with Loreal Professional, Jackie also continued her education and training in New York and Las Vegas. She believes in the “look good, feel good” attitude, and gives 110% to each and every client that walks through our doors.  Jackie resides in Mt. Pleasant with her husband, two collies and a cat.  She also is a mother of two and grandmother of three.  What she loves best about PSS is “the sense of family within our company, we care about each other and our clients.”

Julie Boyce
Stylist/Nail Technician

Julie has been with the spa since 2005 and in the salon industry since 1998.  Julie loves education and learning new trends with cut, colors and styling.  A Certified Elite Colorist with Loreal Professional and having continued education in Paris, Philadelphia and Milan, she specializes in color, highlighting and custom cuts & styles.  She loves making her clients feel relaxed, giving them a fresh, updated look and the knowledge of how to achieve it at home.  She resides in Latrobe with her three sons, two weenie dogs and two cats.  Her greatest love of working at PSS is the team of people that works here and the opportunity to continue to grow and learn.

Kelly Riddle
Stylist/Nail Technician

Kelly joined our team in 2008. She has a bubbly and happy personality and loves to pamper her clients. She is a trained colorist in Loreal Professional. She has also continued her education with several in-depth cutting and coloring classes, in addition to hands-on nail care training.  She loves manicures and pedicures, and truly enjoys giving her clients the "best mani and pedi they ever had" and it's apparent she strives to provide that with each of the spa's guests. If Kelly is not at the spa, she enjoys spending time camping, reading and going to movies.  Kelly resides in New Stanton with her family and her dog, Chipper.

Christa Jones
Stylist/Nail Technician

Christa joined our team in the year 2008 but has been in the industry since 2000. She loves to give pedicures and clients have told us how wonderful they are! She is a trained colorist in Loreal Professional as well as many other hair care lines, including having an educator's certificate.  Christa loves to make her clients look and feel good and has a desire to make sure they are able to keep up with that look at home.  She has a passion for creativity within her craft and gives her all to each guest.  Christa enjoys "all the people I work with, and how everyone is always willing to help, we are a true team." When Christa isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She resides in Donegal with her husband and two children.

Wendy Clark
Stylist/Nail Technician

Wendy joined our team in June of 2010 and loves the way everyone works as a team at PSS. She has been in the industry for over 20 years and once owned her own salon back in 1990 for 10 years before deciding to be at home with her daughters. She enjoys making the guests happy with their appearance and making them feel special and beautiful. Her hobbies include coaching softball and encouraging her teams to work together and believe in themselves while having fun. When Wendy isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Tonya and Karlie, her husband, Bill, and their dog, Sierra.

Susan K. Albert
Skin Care Therapist

Susan has been with the spa since 2000 and in the industry since 1973.  She continued her education and received the prestigious International Dermal Institute Post Graduate Degree in advanced skin care as well as attended numerous trainings and classes with Dermalogica.  With a previous background in massage therapy, Susan brings many years of talent and skills in the salon and spa industry to each of her clients.  She loves teaching her clients how they can have the skin they have always wanted and the relationships that are built.  Susan resides in Greensburg and says that what she loves most about PSS is the wonderful clients and all people she works with.

Elyse M. Tressler
Skin Care & Massage Therapist

Elyse has been with the spa since 2006 and in the spa industry since 2005.   She continued her education with advanced training in Dermalogica skin care and body treatments at the International Dermal Institute.  Elyse loves the ability to make her clients relaxed and give a sense of well being in such a hectic world.  She specializes in Dermalogica skin care & body treatments as well as all facets of massage therapy.  She resides in Greensburg with her cat, Samson, and what she loves most about PSS is “the ability to grow and learn new things in and outside my chosen career.” She resides in Greensburg with her fiancée and Jackson (their dog) and Samson (their cat).

Connie Danko
Massage Therapist

Connie has been with the spa since 2005 and in management as well as the massage industry since 1988.  Specializing in all aspects of massage therapy, Connie enjoys providing our customers a service that is healthy for them and makes them feel better on the inside and out.  Her favorite massage to give her clients is the infamous Signature Massage and the Hot Stone.  She resides in Greensburg with her husband and two cats.  She is also the mother of two and attributes “that we all support each other with what we believe in, and you get to be creative” as some of her favorite things about working with PSS.

Velaree Boley
Massage Therapist

Velaree was with Platinum Salon & Spa for two years in 2006 and 2007.  After taking some time off to be with her new baby, she returned in 2009.   A graduate of The Massage School of Pittsburgh in 2005, Velaree truly enjoys her field of massage therapy. She has a passion for helping others, and a caring nature that is evident by her peers and her clients. Velaree stated about PSS that "everyone in the spa gets along so well and we have the best clients".  She resides in New Stanton with her family.

Kristine DePalma
Massage Therapist

Kristine has been with the spa since 2009 and in the industry for a decade. Her knowledge and skills are evident upon your first treatment. Her caring touch and kind spirit coupled with great energy she gives during her massage treatments make the service wonderful and unique.  She truly enjoys all different modalities of the craft.  Kristine loves making clients feel better and giving a great service.  She resides In Greensburg with her husband and their dogs and cats.

Kimberly Kuhns
Massage Therapist

Kim has been with the spa since 2010 an in the industry since 2005.  She enjoys relaxing and giving great customer service to each client she meets. Her kind and calming spirit makes you feel very comfortable upon first meeting Kim. She enjoys the relaxing nature of the Swedish massage and hot stone massage as well as the health benefits of body treatments.  Kim resides in Greensburg and is looking forward to meeting you at the spa.

Samantha started with the spa in 2009.  She likes the fast pace of working in operations at the front desk and enjoys seeing how the clients always feel better when they leave the spa.  She give credit to "the whole working environment" of Platinum Salon & Spa, as one of her favorite things about the spa.

Kimberlee Roberts
Spa Coordinator

Kim comes to the spa with over 20 years of customer service and office experience. Her organized and fast paced nature makes her and instant fit for the busy world of Platinum Salon & Spa. She has become an asset to everyone and sincerely enjoys what she does. Kim is an avid animal lover and volunteer at The Animal Friends of Westmoreland. A mother of one, she resides in Arona with her husband Dave.
